Travel out to West London and fit 175A Alternator onto Aqualine Narrowboat. Original alternator was the factory 110 Amp prestolite upgrade so the engine already had a 6PK crank pulley fitted. Original alternator mounting bush ground off and my custom folded bracket and shim bolted on.
New alternator fitted with a 60mm freewheeling pulley and shimmed for perfect alignment. The new setup transforms the charging power and is a great upgrade for a lithium battery installation or effortlessly running a small washing machine. I’ve had 6PK crank pulleys made so this setup can be fitted to the majority of 4 cylinder Isuzu engines. With the larger 60mm alternator pulley alternator current is ~110 amps at tickover.
